The NBA owners voted against the relocation of the Sacramento Kings franchise, but the sale of the team is not yet a done deal. During the Wednesday press conference, David Stern said that the Maloofs could still retain ownership of the team if they’d like to.

The only question that was addressed in the meeting was the potential relocation. However, while the deal isn’t done, Stern expects that the sale will take place and the group led by Vivek Ranadive will be able to come to an agreement with the Maloofs.

Soon-to-be commissioner Adam Silver also said that he expects Seattle to get an NBA franchise when a new TV deal is made.
