Iman Shumpert has a sore knee which has swollen up, and the New York Knicks are flying an orthopedic to Indiana in order to examine him. That is certainly a concern for the Knicks, as Shumpert has established a nice rhythm in the playoffs and looked more like he did in his rookie season, before suffering a devastating ACL tear.
Kenyon Martin and JR Smith have both been ill, but according to Tina Cervasio, they should be good to go for game 3.
Finally, Amar’e Stoudemire, who played his first game in several months after coming off a knee procedure, said that his knee responded well and he will play in game 4. Stoudemire played just under nine minutes in game 3, scoring 7 points and grabbing 3 rebounds. He still has a 15-minute limit on his playing time.
