Memphis Grizzlies 2 – 1 Oklahoma City Thunder
Time: Monday, May 13 at 9:30 P.M. ET
TV Network: TNT
At: FedExForum, Memphis, Tenn.
For the Oklahoma City Thunder, the playoffs have been an uphill climb ever since Russell Westbrook went down. Kevin Durant has put forth his best efforts, but the Thunder still find themselves in a 2-1 hole heading into game 4.
The Memphis Grizzlies have looked impressive and improved as the playoffs have progressed. However, despite coming away with the victory in game 3, it was not their best game, which is something Marc Gasol addressed in the post-game press conference.
Oklahoma City needs to beat the Grizzlies in game 4, not only because another loss would be demoralizing but also since winning three games in a row against Memphis would be practically impossible. This is a must-win game for the Thunder.
Players to watch
Memphis Grizzlies - Mike Conley has run the offense exceptionally well for the Grizzlies and has been great defensively as well. He has a matchup advantage with Russell Westbrook out of the OKC lineup and will continue to take advantage.
Oklahoma City Thunder - Serge Ibaka has been horrible in every sense of the word. Not only is he missing his mid-range jumper, but he even blew two wide-open dunks in the previous game. He is well aware of his poor performances and the Thunder need his offense to prevail.
Prediction: The Memphis Grizzlies are too strong at home and if they can keep Ibaka down in his slump, they should be taking a 3-1 lead Monday evening.
