Pau Gasol underwent a procedure on his knees, which will keep him out of basketball-related activities for 12 weeks. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Gasol went through a rather tough season, just like the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers. He suffered through a lot of different injuries, but managed to get healthy enough to help his team in the playoffs.
Unfortunately, an injury-depleted Lakers lineup exited the postseason in the first-round after being swept by the San Antonio Spurs.
Many have said that Gasol has looked washed up this season, but he still showed signs of his former versatility and brilliance in the postseason. He averaged 13.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists this season.
