NBA Rumors - After a swift exit out of the 2013 NBA Playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks are now looking into the future. Scott Skiles departed from the team midway through the season and Jim Boylan stepped in as the Bucks’ interim head coach. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, of Yahoo, Milwaukee will target Stan Van Gundy and Kelvin Sampson for the vacant head coaching position.

After a 2009 NBA finals appearance with the Orlando Magic, Van Gundy couldn’t quite take his team that far again. Following a public dispute with the team’s superstar, Dwight Howard, Stan was relieved of his duties at the end of last season.

Sampson has a long college coaching career behind him, was an assistant coach for the Bucks and is currently the assistant coach of the Houston Rockets.

Both coaches are very experienced and would be decent choices. However, it is hard to see either of the two committing to a team without a clear direction, with several key players possibly leaving Milwaukee during free agency.
