Dwight Howard let down not only the Los Angeles Lakers and the team’s fans but also himself, when he was ejected from game 4 against the San Antonio Spurs. Howard lost his cool and was hit with technical fouls, which sent him to the locker room for an early shower.
It was a frustrating ending to a very frustrating season, and Howard just couldn’t keep his emotions out of the game. As he made his exit, Lakers fans wondered whether that might be the last they have seen of Howard in L.A.
After the game, Howard obviously didn’t want to talk about his future with the franchise, as he is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, saying he needs to clear his head and reflect on this year’s season.
However, a couple of hours ago Dwight turned to Twitter to vent his frustration and apologize to the organization and the fans:
He is seemingly aware of his mood swings and inability to ignore the bait when it is put in front of him, and suggested to himself that he should start yoga classes. Probably not a bad idea, considering his temper problems throughout this season.
Clearly, Howard wasn’t proud of his exit and said that he hopes to make it up to L.A. Well, what better way to make up for it than signing a 9-figure long-term contract?
