Metta World Peace rushed back from a torn meniscus, returning just 12 days after surgery. Since then, he has not quite been himself and is officially putting himself on the shelf for game 4.

He joined CBS Radio today, and Ken Berger Tweeted the following:

The end is near for this Los Angeles Lakers team, who are 3-0 down to the San Antonio Spurs. Steve Nash, Jodie Meeks and Steve Blake all missed game 3, and Kobe Bryant is out for the season with a torn Achilles. With MWP added to that list, the Lakers have seemingly accepted their unfortunate fate.
