Tough news for Golden State Warriors fans – David Lee has been diagnosed with a torn hip flexor and will miss the rest of the playoffs. Lee picked up the injury in the Warriors’ game 1 loss against the Denver Nuggets, after landing awkwardly.
Lee was slow to get up, took the free throws and after trying to run back to his own basket, quickly held his hip and hobbled to the bench. He did not return to the game.
According to Ken Berger’s Twitter, it is yet to be determined whether Lee will need surgery and the early estimated return time should be around three months.
This is obviously a huge blow to this Warriors team, as Lee was a huge part of the team’s offense and made the All-Star game this year.
