Two coaches have now lost their jobs. Byron Scott has been fired by the Cleveland Cavaliers, while Doug Collins has now officially resigned from his head coaching position with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Scott did not have much to work with in his three year tenure with the Cavs, as LeBron James decided to leave Cleveland. What was supposed to be a championship contending team turned into a rebuilding project and Scott finished with a 64-166 record with the Cavaliers.

As for Collins, it was known for a while that he had one foot out of the door already, but it is now official. After the Andrew Bynum project did not workout, the Sixers missed out on the playoffs this year. Collins cited family reasons for his exit, but will most likely stay with the team in some other position.

No candidates have been named yet. Stay tuned to KJG as we continue to follow the coaching situation in Cleveland and Philadelphia.
