1978 – In a 153-132 San Antonio Spurs loss to the New Orleans Jazz, Spurs guard/forward George Gervin scored a career-high 63 points. He led the Spurs to a 52-30 record that season and a second-place finish in the conference. However, San Antonio would lose in the Western Conference Semifinals.
