1942 – Happy 71st birthday to Hall of Fame coach Jerry Sloan who played 11 seasons in the league and then coached for 26 years. He was a two-time All-Star and four-time All-Defensive First Team selection. Then as a coach, Sloan won 1221 career regular season games, the third-most in NBA history.
