Ever since John Wall returned to the Washington Wizards lineup, the mediocre team has been very competitive. Last night the former top pick of the NBA draft put up yet another stunning performance.
The Memphis Grizzlies were without their defensive anchor Marc Gasol, and the Wizards took advantage. After an impressive display, Wall finished with 47 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, on 13-22 shooting. Wall got to the line 24 times, converting 19 of his free throw attempts.
The Wizards were also short-handed, as Bradley Beal, Martell Webster and Nene were all absent.
Wall is slowly coming into his own. His is already one of the most athletic and gifted point guards in the NBA, and if he can string together performances like this, he could very well establish himself as a superstar in the league.
