First of all, the two teams could not begin the game on time, because of an oily substance leaking from the scoreboard. The issue was eventually fixed and the teams could begin the game.
Miami put their winning streak on the line against the mediocre Cavaliers, who were without Kyrie Irving, Anderson Varejao and Dion Waiters. Yet the Cavs were dominant throughout the game, as the Heat looked uninterested and everyone went cold.
In the third quarter, Cleveland held a 27-point lead and it looked like Miami’s streak would end right there and then. But then LeBron and co. took over.
In the time span of about eight minutes, the Heat erased the lead and were even looking at a possible blowout. LeBron James heated up on his former home court, hitting several three-pointers in the fourth quarter.
During the game, a Cleveland fan stormed onto the court, wearing a shirt that said that the town missed James and asking him to come back in 2014. James patted him on the head, and continued destroying his former team.
In the end, the game was down to a one game possession and the Heat held on. James had a triple-double with 25 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.
