Many would say that John Wall has not lived up to the hype and expectations that was placed on him being the No. 1 pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.

Wall is eligible for a contract extension this off-season as he enters the final year of his rookie deal, but what is he worth on the market today?

In a interview with Zach Lowe of Grantland.com, Wall stated that he believes he is a max contract player.

“I feel like I am. I do, definitely,” Wall said.

Wall, who averages 16 points and eight assists per game over his young NBA career admitted that he has not started thinking about the contract extension.

“Look, I’m just enjoying D.C,” Wall said. “This hasn’t been going the way we wanted it to, in terms of winning, but I think we are building something here.”

The Wizards are currently 20-41, but they do have some young talent that can grow and develop around Wall.

Since Wall returned from his left knee injury the Wizards are 15-11 and are climbing out of the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Moving forward Wall will give Washington fans playoff aspirations if healthy, but do you believe John Wall is worth a max contract?
