Glen Davis’ season came to an abrupt end when he broke his foot around a month ago. The Orlando Magic have not yet ruled him out, but it seems unlikely that Big Baby will be seen in the team’s uniform this season, or perhaps at all.
According to Brian K. Schmitz of Orlando Sentinel, the team will be shopping the forward this summer:
Big Baby Davis will be shopped this summer or before next trade deadline. Best move for retool and for Baby, with more losing up ahead.

If Davis gets healthy, it will hardly be a tough challenge for the Magic to find potential suitors. Before getting hurt, Davis was enjoying a leading role with the team, putting up the best numbers of his career. The 27 year old averaged 15.1 points and 7.2 rebounds in 34 games. For those numbers, he is owed a rather reasonable $13 million over the next two years.
Some teams might not want to risk trading for Davis before he returns to the floor, which perhaps makes an offseason trade less likely than moving him prior to next year’s trade deadline.
