In the ESPN pregame show,  Magic Johnson, Jalen Rose and Bill Simmons were previewing the Miami Heat – Memphis Grizzlies game, when the Los Angeles Lakers legend made a surprising statement.

As the Heat went through their general pregame dunk contest routine, Magic was so impressed that he said he would put up $1 million for the Slam Dunk Contest, if LeBron James was to enter. It was also suggested that Blake Griffin, of the Los Angeles Clippers, would need to participate as well.

James participating in the contest would undoubtedly entertain a lot of fans. We will have to wait and see if Magic will literally put the money where his mouth is and, more importantly, if James would be willing to enter the contest for that amount of money.
