Last night’s game between the Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards came down to the  wire. The most amusing part of the game was perhaps Trevor Ariza’s three-point attempt to win the game.

With only seconds remaining and Wizards one point down to the Pistons, the ball found itself in Ariza’s hands in the left corner. He rose up to take thre three and he hit nothing but the net – literally. His shot created a visual illusion that truly made it look as though Ariza had won the game, which in fact he had not.

You can watch the shot below, with the highlight being the Wizards announcer’s reaction. after he thinks the team has won the game.
