According to multiple sources around the league, the New York Knicks will have to manage without Rasheed Wallace for the rest of the regular season.
After a very good start to the season, Wallace picked up a foot injury, which has kept him out of action since early December. He will now require surgery which will keep him out for at least eight weeks.
The 38-year-old power forward came out of retirement to join the Knicks and was a solid presence off the bench, averaging 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
