Earlier this week, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers should consider using their amnesty clause on Kobe Bryant next season, in order to avoid the harsh luxury tax bill that will be coming the team’s way.

Today the Mavericks and the Lakers met on the basketball court and Kobe Bryant was playing to prove a point.

Kobe had a massive game, scoring 38 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing out 7 assists on the night, as the Lakers won another important game on the road, beating the Mavs 103-99.

After the game, Bryant turned to Twitter, delivering a very short, yet highly effective message directed towards Cuban:

Bryant wanted to prove a point tonight. He wanted to show that while his substantial $30 million salary might seem like a lot, he is worth every penny.

What do you think? Do you like how Kobe responded to Cuban’s comments and followed it up with the tweet? Let us know in the comment section below.
