There are four days remaining until the Feb. 21 trade deadline, and things are heating up. Here is your daily update on the very latest trade rumors around the league.
Eric Bledsoe to stay with the Clippers?
Bledsoe’s name has been in the trade rumors as much as any other player around the league. The two most popular landing spots for the guard seem to be the Boston Celtics or the Utah Jazz. Celtics are still pondering on whether to try to push Kevin Garnett out of town, while it seems that a Bledsoe package for Paul Millsap would interest both the Clippers and the Jazz.
Bill Ingram, of Hoopsworld had this to say regarding Bledsoe being moved:
We keep hearing a Bledsoe trade is unlikely, but people are making that leap based on # of PGs in Clipperland.

The Clippers like Bledsoe, but if the team was to trade him for a player like Millsap, they would have to add someone else in the deal, as Bledsoe is still on his modest rookie contract. Even so, an Eric Bledsoe trade could definitely still go down before the deadline
Detroit Pistons done making moves?
The Detroit Pistons cleared some future cap space in the Rudy Gay blockbuster deal, and a lot of sources around the league are saying that the team is done dealing.
However, there are still players the Pistons could swing deals for in order to further enhance the team’s position going into this summer’s free agency. Rodney Stuckey and especially Will Bynum are the two players who could still be moved before the deadline.
A Josh Smith decision coming soon
According to USA Today, the decision on whether Josh Smith will be moving before the deadline will come soon:
Smith’s representatives have been surveying the market for quite some time because it appears so unlikely he’d resign in Atlanta. The next few days will reveal whether there’s a deal to be had.
We still have 4 days to go until the trade deadline, and while that doesn’t seem like a lot of time, most trades get done in the last couple of days leading up to the buzzer. It would almost be faster to list the teams that are not interested in Josh Smith, than those who have inquired about a potential trade.
The Brooklyn Nets have reportedly been pushing hard to land Smith, and recent reports say that Milwaukee Bucks could potentially be interested as well. Few teams have what the Hawks are looking for – a young center and no long-term contracts. If a deal for Smith is going to be done before the deadline, we could expect it to be a multi-team blockbuster.
