It seems like the Los Angeles Lakers‘ injury woes continue. Last night Pau Gasol left the game against the Brooklyn Nets early due to an ankle injury. According to Brian Windhorst, of ESPN, Gasol will have an MRI on Wednesday:

Gasol said he felt “a pop” in bottom of foot and he’s worried about it.

While nothing is definite just yet, it certainly doesn’t sound good. Windhorst says that the Lakers fear he might have torn his pantar fascia, which would most likely rule Gasol out for a while. Richard Hamilton, of the Chicago Bulls, had the same injury earlier this season and ended up missing 12 games.
Lakers already have Dwight Howard on the shelf due to a shoulder injury, although the All-Star center should be making a return relatively soon.
Stay tuned to KJG as we continue to track the latest on Gasol’s injury.
