Injury woes for the Los Angeles Lakers continue. Pau Gasol left last night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets early, and an MRI has revealed that the Spanish center has a partial tear of his plantar fascia, just as the team feared:

Gasol is still waiting on a second opinion, but it certainly doesn’t look good for the Lakers, who are in pursuit of a playoff spot.

Jordan Hill is already out for the season with a hip injury, and Dwight Howard has missed several games due to his bothersome shoulder injury.

Lakers are currently 23-26 on the season, 3.5 games away from the 8th seed in the Western Conference.
