Just before the Boston Celtics took on the Miami Heat tonight, it was reported that Rajon Rondo would not play, due to a hyper-extended knee.
Rondo was taken to the hospital, and during the game broadcast Doris Burke confirmed that the MRI showed that Rondo had torn his ACL and will miss the rest of the season.
The Celtics have been struggling this season, and will be facing a tough challenge in trying to make the playoffs without their All-Star point guard.
Rondo has not yet addressed the media.
