Greg Oden’s name has been in the rumors for quite a while now, as the former no.1 overall pick has every intention to resume his injury plagued NBA career.
Many teams have already declared interest in Oden, keeping a close eye on the player as he continues to rehab his knee.
The Boston Celtics is the latest team to show some interest in the former Trail Blazer.
According to an ESPN report, Boston Celtics GM, Danny Ainge, confirmed that the team is monitoring Oden:
“Yeah, so we’re monitoring Greg, like all the NBA teams are, but we have not attempted to sign him,” Ainge said Thursday. “But we are monitoring him and having (conversations) with his people just to see where he’s at.”
Ainge continues to say that he is doubtful that Oden will step onto an NBA court this year, and would be regarded as a future investment for any team that signs him.
It seems as though the long list of knee surgeries won’t scare NBA teams from taking a gamble on the talented 7-footer.
Stay tuned to KJG as we continue to track the latest on Greg Oden’s progress.
