New York Knicks showing interest in signing Kenyon Martin

New York Knicks veteran forward Rasheed Wallace has been battling injury this season, and the team might turn to free agency for help.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc J. Spears, of Yahoo! Sports, the uncertainty regarding Wallace has forced the Knicks to take a look at the unsigned Martin.

Kenyon Martin played in a limited role for the Los Angeles Clippers last season, averaging 5.2 points and 4.3 rebounds.

Martin, who was the no.1 overall pick in the 2000 draft, has been connected to several teams this season, but is yet to sign an NBA contract.

It seems as though Martin is very open-minded, and would not be against the notion of signing a 10-day contract with the Knicks to see whether things work out.

Stay tuned to KJG as we continue to track the latest on this possible signing.
