1962 – It is not known who scored the one-millionth point in NBA history, but it was done on December 22, 1962. Three games were played that night: (1) New York Knicks 120, Boston Celtics 106; (2) Detroit Pistons 122, Chicago Zephyrs 110; and (3) San Francisco Warriors 123, Syracuse Nationals 118.
