The Minnesota Timberwolves waived the 32-year-old small forward Josh Howard on Thursday, after MRI results showed that Howard had torn the ACL in his right knee.
Howard was signed to a 1-year contract to fill the void left by Chase Budinger, who was set to miss at least 3 months of action with a torn meniscus in his knee.
The Timberwolves have seemingly been cursed this year, as the majority of the team’s roster has battled injury in this young season.
Minnesota will most likely turn to the free agency market once again, in order to add depth at the small forward position.
