When the Portland Trail Blazers drafted Damian Lillard, they were in desperate need of a franchise revitalization.
They may have found it with the rookie point guard, who is averaging 18 points, six assists and three boards in 38 minutes per game.
Sunday was just another example of Lillard being leaps and bounds above his class.
At home, against the New Orleans Hornets, Lillard scored 16 points, including the game-winning trey to give Portland the 95-92 advantage. With 4.2 seconds remaining in the game, and with Portland inbounding the ball, Lillard found Luke Babbit, who handed the ball back to the point guard for him to nail the game-winner.
On the night, Lillard also dished out four assists, grabbed two boards and shot 5-of-14 from the field.
