On only 15 made shots, and playing with a fractured jaw, Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving notched a career-high 41 points from Madison Square Garden Saturday night.
Irving scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to keep the Cavs close and with time winding down, found Anderson Varejao for what could have been the game-tying layup. Varejao was fouled, giving the forward an opportunity to tie the ball game with one second remaining in regulation.
Varejao notched the first, but missed the second, giving the Knicks the win.
