According to reports, the struggling Los Angeles Lakers are looking into adding depth to their backcourt.
With Steve Nash and Steve Blake out, Chris Duhon and Darius Morris have been forced to shoulder the point guard load for the Lakers.
The team is now considering creating a roster spot and signing a guard, and while the team is still looking around, Delonte West currently leads the list of candidates.
Delonte West was waived by the Dallas Mavericks before the start of the season, after serving several suspensions.
The Lakers have had a nightmare of a season, and are now 9-14. A lot of their struggles can be attributed to poor defense, and West’s perimeter defense could help the cause.
The 29-year-old West has played for 4 teams in his NBA career, averaging 9.6 points, 3.2 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game.
