1986 – Happy 26th birthday to former NBA guard Jordan Farmar,who is currently playing for Anadolu Efes of the Turkish Basketball League. After playing his first four seasons with the Lakers and winning two titles, he spent the last two years with the New Jersey Nets. In addition, he had the eighth best three-point shooting percentage in the league last season.

1950 – Happy 62nd birthday to retired guard Paul Westphal who played 12 NBA seasons and has coached for 10 years. As a player, he was selected to five All-Star games and also won the 1974 NBA championship with the Boston Celtics. As a coach, Westphal has a 318-279 career record. He made it to the Finals in his first year coaching, but unfortunately has not been there since.
