After being waived by the Dallas Mavericks to make room newly-signed center Troy Murphy, free agent Eddy Curry is reportedly drawing interest from teams around the NBA.
According to Alex Kennedy from HoopsWorld,
Free agent center Eddy Curry has received interest from several NBA teams, according to sources close to the situation. Five teams have been in contact with Curry and expressed some level of interest in his services.
While Kennedy notes that at least five teams have contacted Curry, it should at least be noted that he specifically points out the Boston Celtics as a landing place following Darko Milicic’s impending departure to take care of his sick mother.
In my opinion, Eddy Curry to Boston makes a lot of sense. Celtics need to replace Darko Milicic, who’s leaving team to be with ill mother.

The trimmed-down center averaged just over four points and two boards for the Mavericks in limited action, but thrived in the preseason with the San Antonio Spurs, averaging eight points and three rebounds over 15 minutes per game.
His career has had it’s up and downs, eventually landing him in one of the more remarkable career turnarounds in recent memory.
