Los Angeles Lakers not looking good?

The Los Angeles Lakers lost their fourth game in a row and have the worst record in the preseason now (tied with the Orlando Magic). This summer the Lakers acquired Steve Nash and Dwight Howard and Antwan Jamison.

Dwight Howard was not back from his back surgery and Lakers fans still have yet to see him in action. Steve Nash seems completely not ready for the season but we are talking about Steve Nash. He is going to be better in the regular season and he is going to be perfect in the playoffs. Antwan Jamison was a perfect signing for the Lakers as well. He can spread the floor to the 3-point line and is a good rebounder for his position. He can add some much needed depth to Lakers roster to help Gasol and Howard. Yesterday`s game, we watched a classic Lakers game. Kobe Bryant played 32 minutes in the game and scored 31 points. There were only two Lakers players in double digits in the game. Jodie Meeks had 12 points in 18 minutes and all of his points came from three pointers. Lakers fans are excited to see how Jodie Meeks will impact the veteran Lakers team. Steve Nash played only 12 minutes in the game. Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard did not play in the game. It was good practice for the rotation players of Lakers. In my opinion, this Lakers team is in need of a sharp three point shooter for the season and that position may be filled with Meeks. Also the team neeeds good athletes on the bench for the season. I could not see any possible athletes. Who is going to be the backup point guard? Chris Duhon or Steve Blake? Mike Brown should solve this problem before the season or during the season because in the playoffs, the Lakers will have a tough time defensively with Nash on the floor.

Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz team played fantastic last night and outplayed the Lakers. Seven players scored in double digits in the game and 4 players had 8 points for the Jazz. That is a great sign in the preseason but in the long term, player roles need to be determined better. Enes Kanter has been playing well for the last couple of games and he had 10 points and 6 rebounds in 20 minutes. Kanter did not have a great rookie season but this season he should be a good rotation player for Utah Jazz.
