Hudson Signs 10-Day Contract With Cavaliers

Lester Hudson has quite the individual accomplishment to brag about. Hudson remains the only player to ever record a quadruple in NCAA history. The former Tennessee-Martin guard signed a 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday, getting his first on-court action with Cleveland on Friday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Hudson has spent time with the Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies and Washington Wizards since the 2009-10 NBA season, averaging 2.1 points and 5.8 minutes in his 37 games of NBA experience. Hudson was signed from the Austin Toros, the NBA D-League team for the San Antonio Spurs.

While with the Toros Hudson has played in five games and has started five, averaging 17.6 points, 4.2 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 29.2 minutes.

Since the Ramon Sessions trade the Cavaliers have had to add three guards to the team’s roster. Manny Harris, Donald Sloan and now Hudson have all seen a handful of NBA minutes this season with the Cavaliers. Due to the recent injuries to Kyrie Irving and Daniel Gibson it is very likely that Hudson will be seeing a good amount of minutes off the bench, especially with the performance that the backups have provided as of late.

Hudson played eight minutes in his Cavaliers debut, scoring two points and recording one rebound, one steal and two assists.

The question is now how much time will the newly acquired Hudson see off the bench?
