Irving Finishes Last In Skills Competition

Cleveland Cavaliers rookie point guard Kyrie Irving could not convert his success from the MVP-performance on Friday, Feb. 24 to Saturday, Feb. 25 Skills Competition, as he finished in last place out of the six contenders.

San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker won the completion with a time of 32.8 in the final round of the dribbling, passing and layup obstacle course. Parker outlasted 2008 winner Deron Williams and Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo.

Parker was also the only one out of the six contestants to post a time under 30 seconds. In the first sound of the skills test, Parker completed the course in 29.2 seconds).

Irving finished in last place, posting a time of 42.2 seconds.

It was a successful weekend for Irving though as he finished up the weekend listening to some of his older NBA peers talk about how impressed they were with his performance on Friday and spending Sunday at Universal Studios Theme Park.

The Cavaliers will be back in action at The Q, as the Boston Celtics pay visit on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.
