Milwaukee hosted the Heat in the second ‘back’ of Miami’s back to back to back, looking to complete a remarkable season sweep.
Through the first half that looked a possibility, until LeBron James utilised every single piece of advice Hakeem Olajuwon offered him over the summer as he nailed 16 points, mostly from the post, in the third quarter as the Heat ran away with the game.
James finished with 35 points on 16/21 shooting. He also added 8 rebounds.
Dwyane Wade was hot early but trailed off after he scared Miami fans limping off in the second quarter, but still had 22 points.
The Bucks’ solid three point shooting was one of the catalysts to their two wins over the Heat this season, and that continued as they shot the ball 40% from deep. However Miami’s defense was at its strongest inside the arc, allowing just 39% from the field.
The Heat head to Indiana tomorrow night to conclude their three games in three nights schedule. They then head into Cleveland where LeBron James will again face the wrath of those who used to adore him so.
