The Heat were in cruise control from the opening tip and barely raised a sweat en route to a 20 point win in Atlanta tonight.
The first of a back to back to back for Miami couldn’t have gone better, with their starters barely playing three quarters of game time.
It may have been discussed pre game that if Miami could get a substantial lead they could get valuable rest time for their key players and that was exactly what transpired.
LeBron James finished with 23 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Dwyane Wade added 21.
Miami continued it’s form from three point range and from the free throw line, shooting 43% and 84% respectively. Their most recent wins have been built on the back of these statistics.
Atlanta were destroyed on the rebounds, losing that battle 38-52 as Miami were a constant menace creating second chance opportunities from offensive boards.
The Heat will board a plane shortly headed for Milwaukee where they play a solid Bucks team in the Bradley Center, looking to eat into Chicago’s 1 game lead at the top of the NBA.
