LeBron James has been perhaps the busiest NBA player during this prolonged and torturous lockout, his latest escapade is the beginning of a series of LeBron James clothing outlets called UNKNWN. GQ reported earlier this week: “LeBron has tapped a crew of designers, tastemakers, and hometown friends for a clothing boutique. The shop, called UNKNWN, is set to open December 1st in Aventura, Florida’s high-end Aventura Mall.” There is not a whole lot more information out there, but we have already seen the introduction of the King of England’s Coat of Arms of the Lion being presented as the new [...]
The nationwide tour of player organised exhibitions has stopped off in Memphis, courtesy of Rudy Gay, and his home fans were not left disappointed. A crowd of around 6,000 turned out to see Rudy Gay finish top scorer with 45 points, including a series of ridunkulous slams. LeBron managed 43 points, Durant must have been frozen out as he scored just 29 points, but the biggest surprise was the appearance of Penny Hardaway who scored 8. The game went through periods of ridiculousness, including a shootout from just inside half court, allowing the players to show off their unlimited range. [...]
The twitter relationship between Tim Tebow and LeBron James is continuing. The twitter flirtation between the NFL and LeBron James is continuing. A few days ago Dwight Howard tweeted a picture of himself on one knee doing the ‘Tebow’, to which Tebow took great joy in. The two proceeded to tweet back and forth until Tebow came up with this: “And btw @DwightHoward if the lockout continues, you & @KingJames need to come get fitted for your Broncos uni’s!” Mmmm Don’t tell me you haven’t spend a great deal of time since James first made contact with John Clayton and [...]
Shaquille O’Neal Questions LeBron James’ Desire
Shaq’s much anticipated autobiography continues to have excerpts leaked, which continues to fuel the sports media industry that has jumped on board this tabloid obsession that America is so saturated with. The latest sees O’Neal discussing his time in Cleveland with LeBron and some of the bigger issues that plague his game today. Obviously we are referring to his ‘clutchness’ or whatever other ridiculous adjective we have invented to determine why a player was able to find success late in a game. “There’s no question in Game 5 LeBron was kind of out of it,” O’Neal wrote. “I always believed [...]
The three faces of Nike’s new basketball campaign, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Dirk Nowitzki have explained what the slogan means and it’s significance to them personally. The explanation was not necessarily needed, but it gives a little bit of an insight behind the campaign and the men leading the way. LeBron explained his definition: “No matter where you’re at, no matter what time of the day, you can always have a love for the game, and you can always play the game. You could be playing inside your house with your loved ones or at a rec league with [...]
LeBron James Calls Ohioans to Vote on School Levy
The universe of hate that is projected at LeBron James is something we are all very much aware of and something we have all become accustomed to. Whilst these projections can be felt from New York to LA, the center of this universe of hate is certainly Northern Ohio. That wasn’t enough to deter LeBron James though, as he recently took to the phones to spread awareness and urge people to vote on a tax levy to avoid schools suffering massive cuts. James described his schooling experience as a blessing and wanted to strongly push the significance of keeping these [...]
Since David Stern and the owners have decided they put their own unfathomably selfish greed before the good people of America and the world who make the game what it is, LeBron James is looking for other activities to keep him entertained. You may remember some months ago upon a visit to New York, LeBron was walking through Central Park when he stumbled upon a game of flag football, to which he asked if he could join in. Obviously the answer was yes and he reported to be great fun, really kind and a hell of a player. He then [...]
Shaquille O’Neal Says Cleveland Cavaliers At Fault for Losing LeBron James in His New Biography
Shaquille O’Neal is without doubt one of the most loved, respected and feared players in the history of the NBA. Despite playing for 6 different teams and creating significant controversy at each of these destinations, he is still one of the most intriguing personalities in sport, despite his injury forced retirement at the end of last season. His new biography, ‘Shaq Uncut’, is set to become one of the highest selling sport related books of all time for the above mentioned reason and one other key ingredient. Shaq knows and is more than ready to spill all the dirt that [...]
Nike have launched their new and rather ironic campaign; ‘Basketball Never Stops’ and have introduced it through perhaps the game’s three most intriguing players right now, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Dirk Nowitzki. I showed you the first of their series of commercial for this slogan (obviously aimed at mocking the lockout) a few days ago, and Nike has just released the next instalment of the collection. This new commercial features just LeBron James and is the combination of very clever photography, thematics and it has a lovely flow to it. As far as commercials go, it’s as good as [...]
So as we know the greediest, selfish most arrogant bunch of ****** are ensuring that for the time being there is nothing close to basketball going on, so I thought it would be fun to go back to 2003 when the Cavaliers won the ‘LeBron Stakes’, winning the no.1 pick in the lottery. Shortly after Cleveland won it’s first lottery, owner Gordon Gund fronted the media to answer the obvious questions that now held context. Who were they going to take with the pick? Gund replied: “We don’t know who we are going to pick” Of course as he said [...]
