Shaquille O’Neal Backs Off His Controversial Claims, Disappointingly

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Oh Shaq why did you say that? Normally one never to fray away from the controversy, from confrontation and from justification, Shaq shamelessly sold himself out on ESPN during an interview with long time friend and sparring partner Stephen A Smith. Shaq’s new book promises to be one of the highest selling sportsman autobiographies in American history, mostly because it is basically a several hundred page tabloid magazine which gives an unedited look into the lives of some of America’s highest profile athletes. A few excerpts have been leaked over the past month, most notably involving LeBron James and Kobe [...]

Warren Sapp Calls LeBron James a Pretty Boy and a Loser

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Warren Sapp certainly has one of the biggest mouths in America. Up until a few weeks ago I followed him on Twitter, mostly because at times he can be funny and most importantly because he gave the Seahawks a fair go last season. It was until a few weeks ago when I saw an episode of Punked where he made an embarrassment of himself at a restaurant. It’s always interesting to see how celebrities handle themselves in crazy situations and most of the time they do it with respect to the other people (actors) involved. Warren Sapp did not. He [...]

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul Sideline at Oregon USC

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

As if we needed any more of a reason to watch USC Oregon, several of the NBA’s elite were on deck to lend their support to the no.4 ranked Ducks. Whilst it took nearly three full quarters for Oregon to get going, the crowd was in hysterics all game as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul supported their school, were regularly shown on the big screen and happily posed for photos and signed autographs with the adoring crowd. Whilst neither of the four athletes have any relation to the university, given Wade attended Marquette, Anthony went to [...]

Chris Bosh Says The Lockout is Revenge Against the Miami Heat, New York Knicks

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Chris Bosh has been all too quiet since his all too quiet performances through the playoffs and in the NBA Finals. The much maligned and scrutinised lesser of the Big 3 had the most lacklustre season of his career, leaving a sour taste in the mouths of everyone that believed in him. I will be the first to admit that I am at times overly harsh on the guy and that sometimes he doesn’t deserve the criticism he receives, but that can also be said on nearly every professional athlete in the world. The bottom line is he failed to [...]

LeBron James Dunks on Kid in England

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

LeBron James seemingly cannot go a day without becoming the backbone of a YouTube sensation, his most recent work came in England where he is currently undertaking in some marketing and charity work, the second time he has been in the country in the past month. James was conducting an interview in a local gym with a whole bunch of kids from the area. One of the little terrors asked him if he could see “how he shoots”. James, never one to back down from a challenge, took the ball and proceeded to take two three pointers. He missed both, [...]

Harvard Studies LeBron James

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Perhaps the most famous university in the world is now teaching and studying the man and brand of perhaps the most famous sportsman in the world. Yes Harvard University covers LeBron James. The historic university located not far from the heart of Celtics territory, teaches a class called ‘Strategic Marketing in Creative Industries’, which is supposedly an extremely popular choice within their business school. Maverick Carter, James’ controversial and much maligned (fairly in my opinion) manager/business partner/responsible for ruining his image dude, said it was a “wow moment” when they were asked by Harvard if they could use LeBron as [...]

LeBron James and Kevin Durant Post Video of Their Combined Workout

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

LeBron James and Kevin Durant are at the very least the two best players in the world under the age of 27, and very likely could be the two best players in the world of any age. They have been long touted to be the next great rivalry, but neither are yet to scratch the surface of the potential they both possess. They have had somewhat similar journeys. Both highly rated and watched during their pre NBA days, and both promised so much when they began their NBA careers. Both were/are the darling of the NBA over the first few [...]

Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys Appreciate LeBron James’ Support

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

LeBron James has certainly caused a decent amount of controversy throughout the course of his professional career over his choice of professional teams. His well documented appearance at a Cleveland Indians-Yankees game during his Cleveland days became headline news because James showed up in a Yankees hat. He raised eye brows supporting the Cowboys when they played the Browns and people really began to question his motives in supporting teams that he had no real association to. I do not know why James supports the Cowboys, nor the Yankees. Perhaps he was preparing himself for the hate he was going [...]

LeBron James Says He Would Beat Kobe Bryant in a Game of 1 vs 1

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

I’ll admit, the title sells this as much more of a deal than it actually is, but in saying that it is 100% the truth. LeBron James is currently on his second visit to England in two months, this time stopping off in London and some of the other cities he missed upon his last business/pleasure trip to see Liverpool FC. He was asked the seemingly inevitable question pitched to him at every recreational interview of non major American journalists, whether he would beat Kobe Bryant in a game of 1 vs 1. He handled the question very well and [...]

LeBron James Significantly Increased the Miami Heat’s Attendance Records

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

As was pretty obvious by the amount of attention they received last season, the new look Miami Heat were the hottest ticket in town. Their unparalleled media covered, travelling vortex of interest and unconscionable level of hatred all equaled big crowds every night. Whilst Miami have been something of an interesting team for the greater part of the last decade or so, particularly following the growth of Dwyane Wade, it had never experienced anything like the franchise did last season. The NBA had not experienced anything like the Miami Heat did last season. In 2010 the average home crowd at [...]
