Tiger Woods and LeBron James worst celebrity tippers

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

America’s two most controversial figures, LeBron James and Tiger Woods, who coincidentally share a birthday, are the two sport related members in a recent list of the worst celebrity tippers. Tiger Woods, the world’s first billionaire sportsman, came in at no.1 in the Miami New Times list as the cheapest celebrity in the country. Reportedly Tiger tipped a waitress, then realised he had already tipped her earlier in the night and asked for his money back. By tip I really mean tip, although if you read that line in a different context, you probably were right on the money. James [...]

Jason Terry takes a shot at LeBron James, Miami Heat with Young Jeezy

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

I am no rap fan, I don’t necessarily classify it as music. I know very little about Young Jeezy but was intrigued when I heard he was filming a new video clip for a song called ‘Win’ which featured Jason Terry. Sure enough the playoffs’ greatest showman was at it again, making a pretty unfunny and hollow joke about LeBron James and the Heat when he was discussing his inability to win at billiards. There may be other references to either Dallas winning, Miami losing or LeBron James choking in the song. I have not listened to it and from [...]

Asian Basketballer Dunks on LeBron James

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Can we seriously not go an off season without seeing one of these headlines. We all remember the Jordan Crawford controversy which turned out to be the biggest anti climax of the summer. We remember his loss in a game of HORSE to a local fan. There have been numerous of these ridiculous forums for further hating on LeBron James, and this is the latest. The video below shows LeBron James playing in a Nike exhibition game somewhere in Asia. LeBron is trying to show off a little too much and embarrassingly is showed up by his unknown opposition, much [...]

Akron Mayor Calls LeBron James Better Person Than Player, but is the Best Player Ever

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

There still are a select few Ohioans remaining that love their former player and cult hero LeBron James, and Akron Mayor Donald Plusquellic is very much one of them. In an interview with the media yesterday following James’ annual charity work in his home town, Mayor Plusquellic showered the greatest of compliments upon the town’s most famous product. “I believe LeBron is a better person than he is a basketball player, and I believe he’s the best basketball player that ever lived. So that puts it in perspective, because he cares. He gives back. He doesn’t have to do this. Riding [...]

LeBron James “Very Optimistic” About this Season, Working With Hakeem Olajuwon

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

LeBron James spoke to the media for the first real time this summer following his annual reading challenge at a local public school. “I’m optimistic that we will have a season this year,” James said. “Very optimistic.” The players will have been given strict guidelines from there representatives in which to follow, which would include the topics discussed with the media. I would not look too much into James’ opinion on whether there will be a 2011/2012 season, as we have not begun to scratch the surface on the issues that plague the game. Nonetheless James seemed much freer mentally [...]

Kris Jenkins Bites Back at “Choking” LeBron James

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Former Jets defensive linesman Kris Jenkins has hit back at LeBron James, who earlier in the week hit out at Merril Hoge after his controversial comments about Tim Tebow and a supposed lack of talent. Jenkins appeared on NFL Live and the issue arose, and as all Jets do, past and present, couldn’t help but add to the controversy. “LeBron, we don’t care what you think. We’re the big boys here. We’re allowed to have an opinion.” As all Jets do, he proceeded. “Why don’t you focus on that and be the best at what you do,” Jenkins said. “That [...]

LeBron James sticks up for Tim Tebow

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Merril Hoge was on Sportscenter yesterday talking Tim Tebow. “He is awful as far as accuracy goes and what’s kind of even more disturbing, he’s probably worse moving and running around with the football and throwing than he is from the pocket,” Hoge said. “Can you get better there? A little bit. If everything is perfect, the pocket, your feet are good, all your fundamentals come into place, the coverage is what you want it, you can be successful. But that doesn’t happen at the National Football League. Rarely does that happen.” I’m pretty into my football, perhaps only been [...]

Kobe Bryant Sticks Up for LeBron James

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Kobe finally broke his off season silence last week when he did an interview with ESPN following an appearance at the MLS All Star soccer game. Of course the story of the Heat’s Finals failures and LeBron James made their way into the discussion. Bryant offered a surprisingly rational response. “I think people need to lay off that kid, that’s what I think. I’ve gotten to know him pretty well, playing with the Olympic team, and I think they just need to back off him and just let him play and let him live his life and let him make [...]
