Vince Young Embarrassed by a Girl in a Club, Defined Only as LeBron James’ Friend

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Saw this article a few days ago on Athlon Sports and I thought I’d share it with all of you. I couldn’t find the name of the guy who wrote it, but it still made me chuckle. This is the majority of the article as seen on Athlon Sports: A few years ago, Vince Young was at a nightclub hitting on the younger sister of a friend of mine — no surprise there, since this girl is some sort of heavenly combination of Beyonce and Stacey Dash. After a few minutes, VY laughs and says, “You don’t know who I [...]

LeBron James’ Marketability Takes a Hit

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

LeBron James has seen the full brunt of the media and the public following his decision to leave Cleveland last summer. In a poll taken on May 24, 2010, about a month-and-a-half before “The Decision,” 71.5 percent of respondents said they found James appealing, almost 70 percent said they may be swayed by his endorsement of a product, and about 56 percent said they would trust him. In a July 11, 2010, poll, taken just a few days after his announcement, James’ appeal dropped by more 11 percent, his endorsement appeal by two percentage percent and trust by more than [...]

Jim Gray, the Host of the LeBron James Decision, Would Do It All Again

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

The man who sat face to face with LeBron just over 12 months ago when he made his decision to take his talents to south beach has spoken out on the TV special a year later and has no regrets. “Would I do the show again? Yes. We’d all make it better,” Gray said. Grey delivered a highly scripted performance of cringe worthy answers, none better than asking LeBron if he still chews his finger nails just before LeBron gave the decision. Gray tried to make the conversation seem like on you would have on the street with a friend, [...]

The Boys and Girls Club of America Wins Big off LeBron James Decision

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

The charity at the center of one of the most controversial hours in TV history has reaped the full rewards for taking part. The Club recently received a donation of 50 pairs of shorts, 125 jerseys and 24 basketballs from Nike. From HP, the Club received 16 state-of-the-art HP computers, one laptop and 15 desktops with monitors. LeBron’s Family Foundation provided the Club with $2,000 in cash support to help to assist with the set up of any additional equipment or services needed.  All the donations totaled more than $35,000 in value. Revenue from LeBron’s “decision” broadcast during the summer of [...]

LeBron James Focusing on Education in Charity

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

James’ annual bike-a-thon that he leads around his home town of Akron, Ohio has taken a face lift this year, and is a credit to the maturing of the former 2 time MVP. James changed the name of the event from “King for Kids” to “Wheels for Education” and will lead a two-week camp featuring reading and technology classes for 360 children about to enter third grade. LeBron James will ride the 2.6 mile course with 20 selected high school students on the 8th of August. “We’re looking to continue to create awareness for these young kids,” James, who founded the [...]

James Jones opts out of final year with the Miami Heat

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

The former three point shootout winner and somewhat role player for the Heat has surprisingly opted out of his last year with the Heat to test free agency. Jones seems to be following the mantra that is emerging in American sports that money is everything and that is something the Heat cannot offer him. Don’t be surprised if Jones does eventually resign with the Heat as he is close with Dwyane Wade and proved to be valuable at times throughout the season. However don’t be surprised if he goes else where simply to earn more money. Look for a crappy [...]

LeBron James dunks on 13 year old boy at camp

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Clearly LeBron is still caught up on his poor performance in the NBA Finals so he decides a 13 year old kid at one of this summer camps is the best way to blow off some steam. James struggled to get to the rim all series against the Dallas Mavericks, but showed he is back to his best as he blew past no defenders and slammed it down hard in the face of the young boy unaware of the oncoming truck. So far in July James has gotten to the rim more times than he did in all of June [...]

LeBron James and Dwayne Wade miss Chris Bosh’s bachelor party

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

A lot has been made of the noticeable absences of James and Wade from fellow Big 3 member Chris Bosh’s bachelor party in Vegas. The party was described as the Hangover part 2 in which Bosh’s guests engaged in gambling, shooting, paintball, racing and several other ridiculous activities. Throughout the entire year James and Wade chose to do their press conferences together, leaving Bosh alone in the media rooms. After each game Wade and James accompany each other to dinner, mostly without Bosh. Whether their absence at his party was related or not I do not know, but what I [...]

Anyone else already over this shit? Just wanted to share with you some of the greatest tweets of all time from an rather unlikely source, Grizzlies forward and legendary defender Shane Battier had this to say on the recent lockout: “Dear @NBA, the lockout hasn’t even started and I already miss your loving touch. Come back, baby. Can we get some cocktails and talk thisout?” “Let’s make this work, for the kids….they’re gonna blame themselves for Our problems. Cmon. Come back. I’ll tell you I love you more #NBA” “Dear @NBA, I hate public breakups. I’m sorry. Call me. Its never too late. Xoxo” [...]

What the NBA Lockout means for LeBron James

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

As an NFL fan, there is one word right now that gives me a greater headache than anything else. It has replaced the word ‘decision’, which I really never thought was possible. That word is, of course, ‘lockout’. Day 108 of the NFL lockout, day 1 of the NBA lockout. If you believe what you read and what you hear, which really is all any of us can go on, the NBA lockout promises to dwarf the NFL’s, at least in duration. Whilst the NFL is still a high profit maker and faces no real threats to problems such as [...]
