Steve Kerr believes LeBron James is more Scottie Pippen than Michael Jordan

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

“The irony to me is that LeBron is not Michael. LeBron is actually Scottie,” former Bull and current television analyst Steve Kerr said Monday on “The Waddle & Silvy Show” on ESPN 1000. “He’s so similar to Scottie in that defensively he was just a monster, could guard anybody, really more of a point forward than scoring guard. Scottie always loved to distribute the ball. That’s really where LeBron’s preference is. “Phil Jackson used to call Scottie a ‘sometimes shooter.’ Sometimes they would go in, sometimes they wouldn’t. That’s how it is with LeBron. He’s a great talent and a great [...]

Miami Herald proclaims Heat as NBA Champions

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Clearly the Miami Herald did not watch much of the NBA Finals, most likely after game 3, as the major newspaper printed a Macy’s advertisement with ‘Congratulations Miami’ partnered with Heat championship merchandise. Like the world needed any more ammunition. The paper and store apologised the next day for the wrong doing. Personally I believe it should have been LeBron and co. apologising to them.

Jason Kidd backs LeBron James

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

The two became good friends during their time together with Team USA and the recent champion promises to reach out to his much younger friend over the course of the off season. “I will reach out to him. He’s a good friend of mine,” Kidd said Tuesday during the team’s exit interviews. “I want him to have success and be successful. But, I think right now, it’s just being patient and all the great ones had to be patient. They had to take their bumps or lumps, however you want to look at it. “But, at the end of the [...]

Miami Heat season in review; No Failure

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 5 Comments

The three main things we remember from the last 10 months of basketball are ‘The Decision’, the welcome party and the Finals blunder. All very negative and all anyone will care to talk about. I am no Heat fan, and despite being a LeBron James fan, I believe I can take a fairly unbias review of their season. The pre season was the craziest it has been perhaps ever, at least since Michael Jordan had been retired. LeBron had gone from face of the league to public enemy number 1 and the Heat had replaced the Lakers as the most [...]

Dallas Mavericks finish off Miami Heat in style, crowned NBA Champions

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 8 Comments

Well we’d better all get our aspirin ready because it’s going to be another year of constant LeBron James and Miami Heat hate. The Mavericks just flat out wanted it more and they deserve every piece of recognition they receive. Dirk Nowitzki was terrible for three quarters, but as we have seen so many times throughout the playoffs and the Finals he came good in the fourth as did his team. Jason Kidd for me was the Finals MVP. I know Dirk was incredible and un-guardable and unconscious and undeniable and every other adjective you can associate with that same [...]

Game 6 will decide the champion

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

I believe the winner of game 6 will ultimately win the series. Obviously if Dallas win they close it out, but if Miami can get a good win under their belt heading into game 7, I think they will run away with it. The key for Miami is to get back to the defense they showed throughout the Celtics and Bulls series’. They have showed only brief flashes of their defensive capabilities over the past 5 games and have had no answers for the Mavericks’ fire power. Miami’s two wins came largely because of their ability to shut down everyone [...]

LeBron James and Dwayne Wade mock Dirk, Nowitzki responds

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Following yesterday’s shoot around the cameras followed LeBron and Dwyane as they walked up the tunnel in the American Airlines Arena and into their locker room. The two are constantly playing around and joking, and thought it’d be funny to start faking a cough, of course in reference to Dirk’s fever he was suffering from in game 4. Dirk responded to the actions of the Miami stars, calling it “childish and ignorant”. No doubt this will be blown significantly out of proportion and people will start calling Wade and LeBron disrespectful, inappropriate and anything else relevant. They probably would have [...]

Dallas Mavericks again run out the Heat late, look to close out Finals in Miami

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

This is just getting ridiculous. You could play each of the 5 games we have seen side by side and the differences would be so minute. The series has been yo-yoing back unlike anything I have ever seen. The players must be on the verge of death because I am truly exhausted just from watching it. Game 5 was pretty similar to game 2 and game 4. The obvious reason was Dallas winning, but the Heat’s defensive lapses and LeBron’s lack of production seem to be the reason Miami find themselves on the verge of humiliation. By no means is [...]

We may have an answer to the LeBron James or Michael Jordan question

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Over the next 2-3 games, I believe we will have the greatest chance to compare the two, at least until both their careers are over. Every great player has a moment upon which their greatness is truly defined. For LeBron James, that moment is games 5, 6 and perhaps 7. LBJ has been as heavily criticised in the past few days as he has been so far this year. To make things worse, the criticism is much more personal and much more substantial. Everyone has forgotten his incredible heroics against Boston in the ECSs and Chicago in the ECFs and [...]

Dallas Mavericks comeback to beat Miami Heat 86-83, tie NBA Finals

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

Each of the four games we have seen so far have been so unbelievably similar, it is not surprising we are tied at 2-2. The series could easily be over right now, and that is in no team’s favour. It has been such an incredibly close opening four games that any scoreline is a possibility. From a spectacle’s stand point, we couldn’t ask for anything better than a 2-2 series. If someone asked me who has been the better team so far, I could not answer with any honesty. There has been nothing to separate either team from each other. [...]
