Derrick Rose Worst MVP Ever?

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 164 Comments

If you are familiar with this blog you will probably have seen the highly controversial pieces I wrote on Derrick Rose being the worst MVP ever. A few months have gone since I wrote those and I have had some time to reflect on what I said and the reactions from you guys. I will admit that perhaps I was overly harsh and critical of a guy who is only in his third year of his career and did not deserve the label I gave him. I will also admit that the majority of the discomfort I had towards Rose [...]

Dan LeBatard produces the greatest 7 minutes in radio history – Miami Heat/Chicago Bulls

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Radio shock jock Dan LeBatard has been at it again. The former PTI fill in, LeBatard currently hosts an afternoon talk show with Jon Weiner on WAXY 790 The Ticket. LeBatard is one of the more outspoken characters in the American media and thus has a very sound following of haters. I’ve heard some people compare him to Skip Bayless (who is probably the most insufferable man in the history of the media) because people believe he only says what he says for shock value. I disagree, I think LeBatard is just like all of us. A passionate, bias sports [...]

LeBron James brushes off Michael Jordan talk

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 6 Comments

Scottie Pippen’s words echoed around the world, and there was no way we were going to move past it before hearing from LeBron James. As expected, James was gracious, but dismissive of the comparisons. “I’m not better than Jordan,” James said. “Michael’s an unbelievable player. I’ve got a long way, long way, to be mentioned as far as one of the all-time greats. Not even just Jordan. There’s a lot of great players who have played in this league. Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, all these guys who are floating around with multiple rings, Bill Russell, all these guys who have [...]

LeBron James better than Michael Jordan?

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 11 Comments

No. Not yet. As you all will have heard by now Scottie Pippen, former Chicago Bull, Hall of Famer and Michael Jordan’s right hand man came out with comments that have not been taken very well, especially in the city of Chicago. In case you were one of the few that missed it, this is what Pippen said: “Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to ever play in the game, but I may go as far as to say that LeBron James may be the greatest player to ever play the game. He is so potent offensively that no [...]

LeBron James clutch again, Miami knock off Bulls in Chicago to advance to the NBA Finals 83-80

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

The United Center. The house that Michael Jordan built. The house that LeBron James tore down. The Miami Heat are on the verge of doing something very special. LeBron James is on the verge of doing something very special. The Bulls returned to Chicago for game 5 and a raucous home crowd awaited them. They came out fast and continued a stifling defensive pace throughout the game. For the first time since game 1, their offense was clicking, it was much more consistent and they were finding ways to put together runs when they needed them. Derrick Rose was looking [...]

LeBron James approves of Lakers hiring Mike Brown

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Los Angeles Lakers have ended all doubt about Phil Jackson’s return by hiring former Cleveland Cavaliers coach Mike Brown. Brown won coach of the year in 2009 and took the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals in 2007. “I think the Lakers got them a great coach.” “Mike Brown was a great coach,” James said. “He gave us success that we hadn’t had before in that city. And it started with his defensive concepts. He brought in a defensive mind set that we didn’t have.” Mike Brown learnt his craft under Gregg Popovich, legendary San Antionio Spurs coach, so he [...]

Miami Heat send the Chicago to the brink of elimination closing out the Bulls in Overtime 101-93

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

They’re the real deal this team. Over the past 10 months this team has been as ridiculed as any team in history, and each loss and spate of hardship they have experienced over this time has been met with widespread enjoyment amongst the team’s many critics or ‘haters’ if you will. But over the past month we have seen this team come together and put together something that is starting to look very special. They can do things other teams don’t even dream of. Their potential at both ends of the court exceeds any other team in the league, and [...]

Chris Bosh can be Miami’s Kevin Garnett

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

You may think that sounds ridiculous, and by no means am I saying Bosh is as good as the Big Ticket, especially defensively, but he has the potential to be the spiritual leader of this Miami Heat team. If you have a look at both their game’s, they’re not too different. Both have a terrific face up and back down game offensively. Both players are effective both in and out of the paint. Both players can perform effectively in the pick and roll and pick and pop games. They are both willing and able passers. Whilst Bosh isn’t nearly the [...]

Chris Bosh spurs on the Miami Heat to take 2-1 advantage over the Chicago Bulls

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Game 3 is usually the telling game in playoff series that determines the remainder. If you’re down 2-0 you turn around the momentum and put the pressure back on your opposition. If you’re level at 1-1 it’s a chance to either take back or earn home court advantage, which has proven to be a highly valuable commodity over the history of the system. If you’re up 2-0 a win means it’s all but over. Miami had the second of these opportunities and they grasped it, rounding out the Bulls 96-85. James had 22 points 10 assists and 6 rebounds, whilst [...]

Why LeBron James would have survived the Apocalypse

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

As most of you heard, yesterday was supposed to be the end of the world. Harold Camping and his group Family Radio said that yesterday, May 21, was to be the end of the world. I’m not going to get into the information of their beliefs, because of obvious reasons, but I would like to discuss why LeBron James woud have survived anyway.
