Miami Heat blow out the Atlanta Hawks courtesy of 43 LeBron James points in just 3 quarters

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Coming off another loss to a top team, Miami wanted to head into Atlanta, one of the better teams in the East, and make a statement. Their defense made enough of a statement to satisfy both the Heat fans and naysayers. LeBron James took it a little too far. It’s not the first time this season we have seen King James put on an offensive clinic through his limited three quarter playing time. If you cast your memories back to his warm welcome back to Cleveland, he had 38 points in three quarters, and led what was perhaps the most [...]

Oklahoma City Thunder and Durant show Miami’s James, Wade and Bosh how it’s done

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

Just when the pieces to the puzzle begin to fall back into place, someone comes in and messes it all up again. That someone was Oklahoma City, led by the walking nightmare Kevin Durant and his ensemble that could still be midway through college. Oklahoma was praised for its defense, which fairly, was stifling. “Our defense was as good as it could possibly play,” Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. Not so sure I agree, or at least I’m not so sure it was the reason the Heat again find themselves in the loss column. Again it is the same lingering [...]

This time the Miami Heat send the San Antonio Spurs home by 30

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

They say revenge is a dish best served cold, well Miami were at their most freezing last night in South Beach sending the league leaders packing with as good a performance as we have seen so far from the team everyone loves to hate. Their defense was as stingy as as it has been all season, but combined with their overwhelming efficient offense, Miami were able to coast through the majority of the game. In fact, LeBron was the only player that made two field goals who shot under 50%. And he still contributed with 8 assists and 6 rebounds [...]

Miami Heat blow away the red hot Grizzlies

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Miami continued their winning ways last night hosting a rejuvenated Grizzlies team still with the memory of their buzzer beating win over the Eastern powerhouses early in the season. James and Wade made no mistake of it tonight scoring 27 and 28 points respectively both in far less than average minutes. It was a superb team performance, particularly defensively, holding Memphis to under 40% from the field and just 10% from 3. Miami’s bench had possibly it’s best game of the season, combining for 36 points, thanks largely to Mike Bibby’s 17 including a perfect 5/5 from deep. The Heat [...]

The Miami Heat win the superstar showdown with the Los Angeles Lakers

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

It was touted as a possible finals preview. A chance for one team to continue a mid season surge that sees the reigning champions heading towards the league leading San Antonio Spurs. A chance for the other team to redeem their mid season slump and improve their declining record against elite teams. Despite all the criticism, the hysteria and the doubt surround the Miami Heat over the past month, perhaps we can finally put it behind us. If you have been following my blogs before this, you will remember I banned myself from talking about the Heat as a collective [...]

Chris Bosh and Phil Jackson giving their two cents on the Miami Heat

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 13 Comments

Miami posted their fifth consecutive loss last night against the Trailblazers, which only worsens the current situation the Heat find themselves in. The media circus that surrounded this team only heightened and the hysteria of consecutive losses has only expanded exponentially over the past few days, causing tensions to run high and people to speak their minds. After watching Wade and LeBron’s usual joint press conference, I did not learn anything I didn’t already know about the pair. They are still 100% focused on the task at hand and right now that is winning ball games. Nothing interesting jumped out [...]

Portland Trailblazers 105 Miami Heat 96; and so it continues

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

In case you hadn’t been reading these blogs before, I imposed a self ban from talking about the Miami Heat as a collective unit and their constant struggles because I was tired of writing the same thing day in day out, and assumed you were tired of hearing it. Following last night’s performance against Portland, I will not be lifting my ban on discussing the Miami Heat and will stick to the issues this site is centered around, LeBron James. I will be blogging later today about a couple of comments made to the media following the Portland game so [...]

Miami Heat players crying? You would hope so.

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

The world of sports media has been lit up by comments Eric Spoelstra made during the press conference of the Heat’s fourth consecutive loss at the hands of Chicago last night. “This is painful for every single one of us to go through this, there are couple of guys crying in the locker room right now, it is not a matter of want,” Spoelstra said. It was perhaps the strongest statement made by Spoelstra as long as he has been in charge of this team, and a statement that certainly made me respect him more. He is clearly sick of [...]

Chicago Bulls 87 beat the Miami Heat 86; LeBron James and Dwyane Wade miss again

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

If you have been reading the last couple of weeks, you will remember my rapidly shortening patience with the inability of Miami to close out games. Forget just games against big teams, although they are an awful 1-9 against the elite teams this year. If you have been reading the last couple of weeks you will also remember I banned myself from talking about the Heat because I feel I am constantly repeating myself, like the rest of the media, talking about their obvious issues and flaws. I said if the Heat put in a strong performance against the Bulls [...]

LeBron was alright

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

I’ve decided not to write another piece banging on about the Heat’s inability to win big games, force stops and make shots when it counts. Simply had enough of that. If you’re into that kind of thing you can scroll down and you’ll find that not only three of the last four posts will satisfy your needs, but a whole bunch of previous games in which you can find your fix. If you, like me, are sick of hearing it, reading it and certainly sick of seeing it, this is a little more suited to you. As this is the [...]
