Perhaps not so much hate

As the Heat are in the motions of challenging the Lakers record 16 consecutive away wins, LeBron is starting to hear less boos and more woos. “Funny thing is we’ve heard a lot of boos for the first few quarters and either late in the third or the fourth quarter, we’ve heard some cheers,” James said. Stern agrees with him citing the majority of the hostility directed at James and his Heat is purely ‘theatre’ and that the fans are more drawn into the trend of hating LeBron rather than actually seeing him as a villain. It may be the [...]

Not All LeBron

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

The NBA is experiencing some of it’s best TV ratings in years and the ever controversial believes it’s the ever controversial LeBron James who is largely responsible. Ratings are up some 30% over last year’s figures at this stage in the season and Stern believes it has something to do with LeBron’s decision to take his talents to South Beach. The Heat attract over 2000 more fans over the league average to each game they play. LeBron dismissed Stern’s words stating no single individual really has that much of a strangle hold over the league.   “There’s too many players, there’s [...]

The trade deadline is nearing closer and closer. Only the Magic have pulled the trigger on a season altering trade that put them in better shape than before. With the Heat lacking any valuable trade pieces it may be safe to assume they won’t be quite as active as they were in the summer. This doesn’t mean they have no room for positional improvement, especially at the somewhat questionable center position. Someone like Anderson Varejao from the Cavaliers or Robin Lopez from the Suns would be a terrific addition to the Heat, a high energy defensive minded big man who [...]

Big 2 The best 2 in December

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James have continued their dominance throughout the past few weeks by adding a joint player of the month for the Eastern Conference award to their pretty stacked trophy cabinet. James and Wade shared the award by guiding the Heat to 10 straight road victories and to the second best record in the conference. James averaged (25.2 ppg, 7.9 rpg and 6.8 apg) and Wade (27.9 ppg, 6.9 rpg and 4.1 apg) as the Heat pulled together a record of 15-1 through the month of December, one short of the Lakers record. James’ December featured 3 triple [...]

10 Straight on the Road

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

LeBron and Wade again dazzled as the juggernaut that is the Miami Heat continued to roll, this time through Charlotte and Michael Jordan’s Bobcats. The game was a blow for blow game throughout the first half, but the Heat’s defense locked down in the third quarter keeping Charlotte to 1/22 shooting. LeBron pulled out his usual third quarter antics scoring 15 of the Heat’s last 17 in the quarter. Step back threes, facial jump shots and filthy reverse dunks were all part of the James repertoire last night. James finished with 38 points on a ridiculous 15/26 shooting performance including [...]

2011

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Heat began 2011 as they ended 2010, conceding a lot of points to a promising young team but coming through with a win. It was a little more challenging for Miami last night as they trailed by 14 at the half. Monta Ellis rubbed further salt into those wounds with a half court 3 over LeBron, someone who considers himself a master of the art. Ellis, Curry, and the familiar face of Dorrell Wright were the biggest contributors for the Warriors, unsurprisingly, as was the big 2 for the Heat. Wade’s 40 point streak came to an end with [...]

Dunk Contest

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

So we all remember LeBron’s comments following Nate Robinson’s kryptonite antics knocking Dwight Howard off his tremendously high mantle. He said he would be entering the 2010 Dunk Comp in the brand new Cowboys Stadium in Dallas. It was one of the most eagerly anticipated dunk contests in the history of the All Star weekend, it had the commentators and players talking throughout the weekend in 2009 when he announced it. As we got closer to the date itself, it became abundantly clear he wasn’t going to be entering. Some people will say that’s just LeBron James letting down his [...]
