It’s 10:50 am here in Australia, wanted to wish you all a happy new year. Been a very rough year if you’re a Cavalier or LeBron fan so it’s good to put all this behind us and get ready for a big 2011. On the back of a stellar 45 points from Dwyane Wade, Miami have recorded the 10th consecutive away win downing the Rockets in a high scoring affair. For the second consecutive year LeBron James has spoilt the Christmas for Los Angeles and their Lakers, as the Heat made the champs look like chumps in a 96-80 demolition. It was as good a defensive performance as we have seen in some time, holding the Lakers on Christmas Day in Staples to just 80 points, whilst keeping Kobe well below 50% from the field. The Wade-less Heat headed into the desert and came out with a win last night, securing a little more momentum heading to the Staples Center for the most eagerly anticipated Christmas Day game since Jordan retired.
