Should I Stay or Should I Go? Part 4.

AUTHOR: | IN: Keys to the Game, LeBron James, Other, Popular | COMMENTS: 6 Comments

Like it or not, LeBron James is the most talked about thing in the history of the NBA.  He’s a global icon and a hometown hero.  He’s the greatest basketball player in the league today but he has yet to win a championship and, ultimately, thrust himself into the same breath with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Among the free agent class this summer, LeBron James is the most sought after individual and has done his part to keep the spotlight on him – even throughout the NBA Finals.  He’s been linked to John Calipari and Chicago and Mark Cuban [...]

Gilbert, Cavs Extend Offer to Izzo

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James, NBA, Popular | COMMENTS: None Yet

John Calipari.  Phil Jackson.  Jeff Van Gundy.  And Mike Krzyzewski.  All guys that have previously been linked to the coaching vacancy in Cleveland, Ohio. However, Marc Stein of ESPN.com is now reporting the following: Tom Izzo insisted recently that he has no interest in coaching in the NBA until he wins at least one more NCAA title at Michigan State. But that stance might not stop the Cleveland Cavaliers from trying to hire Izzo as their next coach. The News-Herald in Northern Ohio reported on its website Sunday night that the Cavaliers — fresh off dismissing coach Mike Brown and [...]

Let Him Go – ClevelandScene Piece

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James, News, Other, Popular | COMMENTS: None Yet

OK, enough of my psycho jibber-jabber about my increasing hatred for the city of New York and every piece of scum in it.  Check this piece out that I – or rather my cousin – found on ClevelandScene by Vince Grzegorek.  He offers a very, very different perspective on the Cleveland-LeBron saga but a very real scenario nonetheless.  Let me know what you think! The Chosen One might not choose Cleveland, and the suffering that would ensue has been dissected everywhere. The wise man doesn’t argue that there won’t be severe fallout from a palace without a King. Subtract LeBron [...]

Desperation Reeks in New York

AUTHOR: | IN: Video | COMMENTS: None Yet

Well folks, New York is at it again.  As if Mayor Bloomberg has nothing better to do – even though the nation’s economy is in shambles – his next big political move came today with the announcement of a new campaign: The C’mon LeBron campaign. I mean, honestly, is that all New Yorkers have to concern themselves with these days?  They really need a political campaign to bring the King to New York City?  And the worst part about it is that New Yorkers are such arrogant [insert insult here] that they actually believe that LeBron needs New York.  No [...]

Should I Stay or Should I Go? Part 3.

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James, Popular | COMMENTS: None Yet

Since being drafted in the first round of the 1996 NBA Draft, Zydrunas Ilgauskas has taken part in one of the most eventful careers in NBA history.  Between 1996 and 2001, the young center had five different surgeries on both of his feet; each time he’d recover, he’d return to the floor only to break yet another bone. But Ilgauskas withstood each of these obstacles and, over the last 14 seasons, has morphed himself into one of the greatest players in franchise history.  He holds the franchise record for blocked shots, defensive rebounds, total rebounds and games played.  Perhaps most [...]

The King to Appear on King

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James, News, Popular | COMMENTS: None Yet

Other than his postgame interview, LeBron James hasn’t spoken to the media since the Cavaliers’ game six loss to the Boston Celtics.  And, even then, he wasn’t very revealing in his plans for the offseason as he only claimed that he and “his team” have a game plan that they will execute – which is ironic, considering ‘execution’ is exactly what led to the Cavs’ demise this postseason. However, he will be appearing on CNN’s “Larry King Live” on Friday night at 9 pm.  In very brief segments already released, LeBron conceded that the Cavaliers “have an edge” when it [...]
