Desperation Reeks in New York

Well folks, New York is at it again.  As if Mayor Bloomberg has nothing better to do – even though the nation’s economy is in shambles – his next big political move came today with the announcement of a new campaign: The C’mon LeBron campaign.

I mean, honestly, is that all New Yorkers have to concern themselves with these days?  They really need a political campaign to bring the King to New York City?  And the worst part about it is that New Yorkers are such arrogant [insert insult here] that they actually believe that LeBron needs New York.  No sir.  LeBron James is a global icon right where he is and he’ll remain that way with or without NYC.  He’ll make his money and win basketball games with or without Mayor Bloomberg and his band of buffoons in “the greatest city of the world.”  Give me a break.

Even NYC & Company CEP George Fertitta said, “As strongly as we feel that a global icon like LeBron deserves to play in a place like New York City..”  Because playing basketball in New York City is such an honorary achievement, I guess.

And, you know, I thought about not even posting this video simply because I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anything so desperate and idiotic in my life.  But I’m going to do it because I want everyone to see how little of a man Mayor Bloomberg is.  Check it out:

How upset is the Mayor going to be when neither one of his teams land LeBron James?  He’s already made it very clear that he wants to win.  And the Knickerbockers have made it pretty clear in recent years that they have no interest in doing that.  So good luck…
