Cavs Deny C’s Senior Citizen Discount
After a very, very poor performance in Game 2 of this series, I expected the Cavaliers to come out with something to prove on Friday night. But I don’t think anybody expected the stoot-slappin’ the Cavs handed to the Senior Celtics in Game 3. Cleveland led by double digits for all but the first six minutes on their way to a 124-95 beat down in Beantown. LeBron James, who has been hindered by elbow problems for much of the series, showed no signs of tenderness as he came out looking to attack right from the opening tip. James canned 28 [...]
Live Chat: Cavs vs. Celtics – Game 3
Game On!
Well for those of you who couldn’t tell, I (like Mike Brown) was fired up after the lackluster effort the Cavs handed out in Game 2 on Monday night. So I took a couple mental health days to get back on track because, as LeBron said, now is not the time for panic. And if the King himself is not panicking, who the heck am I to be panicking? Well, since I’ve been MIA, a couple Cavaliers have been hit with a few awards. LeBron took all-NBA first team honors as well as first team defensive honors over the past [...]
Postgame Interviews: I Don’t Like What I See
I said I would post the video of Mike Brown’s post game press conference today so here it is. Watch closely and you can almost see steam shooting out of his ears. Can’t tell how irate Coach Brown is? How about the fact that he called an unexpected practice for the guys today? With Game 3 not scheduled until Friday evening, the Cavaliers were supposed to have today off. But days off are for champions – judging from last night’s performance, the Cavs are not champions. Good call, Coach. Now take a look at LeBron’s press conference. Completely different reaction, [...]
Cleveland Drops Game 2 in Poor Performance
Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers. Game two in front of a sold out crowd at the Quicken Loans Arena. And a pregame presentation of the Most Valuable Player award to the greatest player in the world. Now can somebody explain to me exactly what it is that is keeping the Cavaliers from bringing everything they have for 48 minutes? Yes, LeBron may be a little hurt – but he wasn’t too hurt to blast Boston for 35 two days ago. Yes, Shaq is coming off of an injury – but how much conditioning do you really need to put the [...]
Dear Lebron, Be Great
Dear Lebron, In an article published in the New York Times on Monday, April 27th, sports writer William C. Rhoden wrote you a letter. I read this letter and though it was addressed to you and not to me, I was incredibly insulted by it. Mr. Rhoden got straight to the point and brought up your impending free agency. You see, Lebron, Mr. Rhoden seems to believe he has some priceless business advice for you. He believes in this plan so much that he is publishing his advice in the world’s most famous newspaper. You may not have had time [...]
MO WILLIAMS With No Regard for Human Life
Remember that hammer from Mo-Gotti that I was telling you about earlier? Well here it is: How’s that taste, Paul?
How Great Is Our King
Just a day after torching the Boston Celtics for 35 points in game one of the second round of the playoffs, King James headed home to Akron, Ohio to claim his second consecutive Most Valuable Player award. LeBron received a total of 1,205 points, including 116 first-place votes out of a possible 122, from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. His 94% first-place votes ranked second in NBA history behind only Shaquille O’Neal after the 1999-2000 season. Personally, though, I can’t imagine why the vote was not unanimous. Nobody in the league played at the same level as LeBron James [...]
After watching LeBron James tear apart the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the playoffs, one might have begun to wonder Is this guy human? Well, yeah, he is. He had what some would call an “off-night” as he committed a couple careless turnovers, came out with a lackluster effort in the first quarter and missed several shot attempts in the painted area. But here’s the non-human part to that claim: The guy still torched the Celtics for 35 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in a 12-for-24 shooting performance. Wow. But it wasn’t LeBron who held the team [...]
Kevin Garnett: The Poster Child
As the Cavaliers-Celtics series gets set to begin on TNT tonight, I’d like everyone (Cavs fans and/or Celtics fans) to take a look at this vicious hammer LeBron threw down on the Big Ticket a few years ago in the Playoffs. “LeBron James, with no regard for human life.”
