Postgame Interviews: I Don't Like What I See

I said I would post the video of Mike Brown’s post game press conference today so here it is.  Watch closely and you can almost see steam shooting out of his ears.

Can’t tell how irate Coach Brown is?  How about the fact that he called an unexpected practice for the guys today?  With Game 3 not scheduled until Friday evening, the Cavaliers were supposed to have today off.  But days off are for champions – judging from last night’s performance, the Cavs are not champions.  Good call, Coach.

Now take a look at LeBron’s press conference.

Completely different reaction, right?  He sounds exactly like the Cavaliers played on Monday night: pathetic.  He does not, at all, sound like a guy who has picked up consecutive MVPs.  I understand where he’s coming from to a point.  Yes, it’s a long series; there’s still a lot of basketball left to play.  But I’d like to see a little more emotion coming from the team captain after a dreadful performance like we saw on Monday.

Lastly, take a look at Mo Williams’ post game interviews.

He sounds just like LeBron did – follow the leader I guess.  My (least) favorite quote from Mo is, “I think I’m doing my job.”  Oh, is that right?  So he wasn’t completely embarrassed by his performance on Monday night?  Because he should’ve been.

I’ll tell you what, I do not like the way the Cavaliers have looked, both on and off the floor, for the first two games of this series.  Let’s see what they’ve got in Game 3.  And let’s take one in Beantown on Friday night.
